Why we founded Gamers Care
One winter night in 2005, someone knocked on my door. When I answered it, there stood a 7-8 year old girl. She was selling items for her school fund raising. No parent or guardian were anywhere around.
Now I live in a pretty safe area, but today, I wouldn't allow my child to go door to door unsupervised. One quick internet search for registered sex offenders netted a surprising result.
So in an effort to make Fund Raising Safer and less logistically challenging, we founded Gamers Care, Inc. Contact us for information on how we can help you.
In 2006 we received our I.R.S. declaration letter stating we are a 501 (c)3 Non-Profit corporation. This allows any Donations to be Tax Deductable for the donator (please check with your accountant for details).
Since being formed we have worked with a diverse group of organizations, from High Schools to the Marine Corp. We have held tournaments with over 500 participants in a two day weekend.
2011 will be a huge growth year for Gamers Care as we undertake a new mission to help people. I can't tell you now, but it should be very exciting.
